Unfortunately last week’s Cheetahs train was derailed thanks partly to a brain dead red card early in the match, a blow from which the Cheetahs were never able to fully recover.

This week is fairly quiet from a sports betting perspective and I will be taking up the opportunity to play some poker at Emperor’s Palace.  The lads on GGGaminggonemad’s show had the opportunity to predict where I would finish and all those who entered will have the opportunity to split a third of anything that I cash this weekend, but I must be frank and say that my past record suggests it is unlikely. Click here for details on my sponsored poker opportunity titled “Another shot at Poker glory”

On to this weekend’s sport and for the first time ever I have not had a pre-tournament bet on the Nedbank Challenge.  Time just caught up with me this week, but in all honesty this event is just not what it used to be and with no players in the Top 15 in the world turning out, I wish they would stop calling it Africa’s Major.

Pre-tournament favourite, Louis Oosthuizen, has raced to a 3 shot lead and is currently 19/20 at World Sports Betting and if you back him before the start of Round 2 and he wins, you will get put into a draw for a R5000 Proshop voucher.

THE CONDUCTOR IS BACK ON BOARD

On last nights THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat That Matters” I chatted with Brendon Wessels aka “The Conductor” and he seemed to be quite strong on a number of bets in the Champions Cup this weekend.  His main play was Munster (-10.5) away to the Ospreys and he pointed out that in a competitive group, Munster must go for a 5 pointer here and anyone, who like me, watched Ospreys against the Kings last week will know that they are battling at the moment.

If you missed the show you can click here to watch or click here for the podcast which is also available on the likes of Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

BET:  5 Units, Munster (-10.5) at 9/10 at WSB or Betxchange
