newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 18th to 20th September

“The thrill of owning a horse” that is the title of this week’s Citizen Blog powered by Playabets and after over a decade it is great to be involved as an owner again as part of the Goodforthegame Syndicate.  We are looking forward to our filly’s next run and who knows we may own a few more horses down the line.

Onto the Rugby and well done to Dave Cooney who stepped up in his first show last week with the Best Bet, Leinster on the minus against Ulster.

BOYS FROM BARCELONA ARE BACK

Last night’s THE HANDICAP “Rugby Chat that Matters” saw the return of @Son_of_a_Punt and the Boys from Barcelona were in a relaxed mood and getting ready for a night on the town.  They and fellow guest, The Conductor had clearly done their homework on the Champions Cup quarter-finals as well as the Brumbies v Reds, Super Rugby au Final and the The Conductor then took me through the Mitre 10 Cup matches on what is going to be a busy Rugby weekend.

Click here if you missed the show or if you prefer a Podcast version it is available here

Many of the early lines spoken about in the Goodforthegame Forum have been snapped up so make sure you subscribe to the Rugby Thread so you don’t miss any posts because value doesn’t last and the Exeter cap ballooned from a (-12.5) when first posted by Bradie82 out to (-22.5) on the back of team news.

Finding a best bet wasn't easy this week, not because the lads didn't like anything but rather because there were so many to choose from. One bet the panel liked which was rubber stamped by the likes of Thoughts on Sports in the live chat was Taranaki on the handicap against Canterbury. The line was +14.5 during the show and it is already down to 12.5 in places with 13.5 still on offer.

Best Bet: 5 units Taranaki +13.5 at 10/11 at Playabets

TOUR FATIGUE SETTING IN

The Tour de France is drawing to a close and I must say I am getting that Grand Tour fatigue and I believe you can hear it in my voice during last night’s preview.  Anyway we have just 3 stages left and I have thrown a few darts on today’s Stage 19 and also gone for a couple of match bets.
