The UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals get underway on Tuesday and Benfica and Liverpool kick off at 21:00 in Lisbon at the Estádio da Luz

Klopp`s Liverpool side has proven once-again over the weekend that they are in full focus when it comes to chasing the Premier League title as they secured a 2-0 victory over Watford. The Reds dispatched Inter Milan in the Round of 16 with a 2-1 aggregate score and there is very little to debate going into the clash against Benfica – the English side have showed consistency throughout the season and with a prolific front 3 of Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, I see them grabbing an advantage in the first leg.
Benfica
The Portuguese side have done exceptionally well to get in the Champions league Quarter Finals, knocking out Ajax with a 3-2 aggregate victory. Their league campaign could definitely be improved, but all focus will now be on staying in the European competition. Benfica definitely pose an attacking threat going into this fixture – Argentine Darwin Nunez has been in an exceptional form, scoring 21 goals in the Primeira Liga and 4 goals in the Champions League and the Lisbon side were 9 without until their recent loss to Braga. I am not completely ruling Benfica out of the clash, but I do think they will have to dig extremely deep to get a positive result against Liverpool.
Verdict
This is a very captivating clash as both of the sides have a strong attacking arsenal. Despite being the underdogs, Benfica can definitely cause problems but Lverpool have been quite consistent, and comfortable with the 2-0 and 1-0 victories recently and my bet is for under 2.5 goals
