The second leg of the Uefa Champions League quarter final between Real Madrid and Chelsea takes place on Tuesday and @Olimp_SA have a preview including suggested bets.
Real Madrid vs Chelsea Preview: 112th of April, 21:00.
Chelsea will be looking to make a comeback tomorrow night against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as the 2 sides clash in their second leg of the Champions League Quarter Finals.
Real Madrid
Real Madrid held nothing back at Stamford Bridge as they fired 3 goals past the Blues and had absolutely no problems dealing with an intimidating West London atmosphere. As if a hat trick against PSG was not enough, the illustrious Karim Benzema had no problem adding another 3 goals to his Champions League scoring tally. Madridstas then went on to carry their confidence into the La Liga campaign, securing a 2-0 victory over Getafe. All-in-all Real Madrid have been playing in prolific form – winning 8 out of their 9 matches across all competition. Holding a comfortable 3-1 lead and a home ground advantage, it is hard to see Real Madrid letting their lead slip and spot in the semi-finals looks the likely outcome tomorrow evening.
Chelsea
Tuchel`s side could not have had a more unfortunate start to their Quarter Finals bout. Finding themselves 2-0 down before the end of the first half, Kai Havertz`s header gave Chelsea a glimpse of hope until a questionable mistake from Edouard Mendy saw them back to a 2-goal deficit. Chelsea have quickly put their loss in the past and took their frustration out on Southampton over the weekend – thrashing the Saints in a 6-0 victory and marking their seventh win away from home. Tuchel couldn`t of asked for a better result to get his camp`s confidence back-up which they will certainly need travelling to Spain. Chelsea have already demonstrated that they are capable of breaking the Madridstas` backline, but they will need to find a perfect balance between going all-out for the needed goals and avoiding another defensive disaster.
Verdict
Pressure will be mounting for both managers going into the second leg of this captivating match-up – Tuchel has a mountain of a deficit to climb against a proven Spanish side, while Ancelotti will have the pressure of the home crowd and the expectation of a spot in the semi-finals on the back of a comfortable lead. I see both sides going all-out for the aggregate victory, but it is hard to see Chelsea doing enough to sink the high-flying Madrid side.
