It’s a battle of teams trying to stay alive as we approach the playoffs in the Big Bash.

The Sixers are now cruising at the top of the table and a victory over one of their few realistic rivals will cement their playoff spot and firmly instil them as the team to beat in BBL 2020/21. The Scorchers come into this one having handed the Hurricanes a firm hiding and are now on a five match winning streak but have lost one of their key men – Mitch Marsh for a period of time. The Sixers have the value of men like Dan Christian in their ranks and have scrapped well as a unit.

Top Sixers Bowler – S’O Keefe @ 4.00
The spinner has been the most valuable bowler for the Sydney side thus far. Its seldom that batsmen get on top of him and he has been in solid wicket taking form.
Top Perth Bowler – J Richardson @ 3.00
Jhye Richardson has been talked about as being back in the Aussie white-ball mix after a very good Big Bash campaign. He leads this Perth attack and I expect him to continue on his merry way in Canberra.
Top Sixers Batsman – J Philippe @ 3.40
The Sixers keeper has been the aggressor at the top of the order. I usually shy away from backing such an aggressive hitter as he often doesn’t value his own wicket all that much but with Vince a bit off his best and Edwards struggling the opener looks the value play for me here.
To score most Sixes – J Roy @ 6.50
Roy got back to his best in the last outing and should be better off with some added confidence. Munro is back for the Scorchers so he could be competition whilst Philippe is probably the biggest threat form the opposition. I still fancy the Pom to do the business for us in clearing the ropes a number of times.
