MOMENTUM ONE DAY CUP - Final
Not since Noah has one place seen so much water over a period of time. Potchefstroom is well and truly moist at this stage but hopefully the weather gods look favourably on a final outing in the local Momentum Cup 50 over final as the Dolphins and Lions square off for the trophy.

Having smothered the Cobras to a measly 196 in the first semi the KZN side almost fluffed their line in response. There has only been two 280-plus scores in the comp and the batting has hardly looked competent for the most part. Another aspect to keep in mind for this final is that the teams will be missing their SA ODI squad members – something which will impact more on the Lions.

The Dolphins weren’t all that convincing in putting the Cobras away but I do feel they are less effected by National call-ups and will prove tough to beat.
Top Lions Batsman – D Hendricks @ 4.00
Dom Hendricks has been the form batsman in the comp to date. With Reeza Hendricks and Ryan Rickleton missing from the squad the skipper will be the vital piece of the batting puzzle for the Highveld side.
Top Dolphins Batsman – S Muthusamy @ 13.00
No I have not mixed up my markets. The left arm spinner could be favoured to have a big impact with the ball but I think he is good value with the willow. In three digs he has two half centuries against his name and will be batting at number six in this game.
Top Dolphins Bowler – R Frylinck @ 4.00
The bulky seamer has been in good form with the ball. His experience will prove vital in a knockout game so I am happy backing the big boy here.
