IPL: Saturday 10 October

Looking ahead at Saturday’s action.

Kings XI vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Saturday 10 October – Abu Dhabi

The Kings Xi went belly-up in a bad way in their last outing and need to turn things around ASAP as the 2020 IPL is quickly turning into a bit of a disaster for them. Bowling wise they just haven’t offered much. KKR got back on course against CSK with an unexpected 80 from Tripathi at the top and a good team effort with the ball.

Betolimp Bets:

To score the most sixes in the match – N Pooran @ 9.00

Pooran was the shining light against Sunrisers and was certainly hitting it clean as, I see no reason to change course on this bet.

To score a fifty – S Gill YES @ 4.00

I’m dropping Rana and throwing my weight behind Gill this time around. The opener failed last time out but I have faith that he will be back to his best on this occasion. The Kings XI have also struggled for early wickets so he should enjoy himself.

Top Kings XI Batsman – M Agarwal @ 4.50

He was poorly run-out in the SRH loss but even in those few balls at the wicket he looked to be in great touch.

Best KKR Bowler – S Narine

It seems the Knight Riders are preferring to use Narine a bit later in the innings. This gives him a better chance of picking up wickets in my opinion. He’s form looks to be coming on nicely.

Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Saturday 10 October – DSC Dubai

CSK did a solid job with the ball in their last outing but then proceeded to let their run-chase slip in a bad way. Question marks remain around the batsmen after Faf and Watson.

Punjab have two of the leading batters in the tournament in their ranks yet only have a single victory to show for their efforts. Glen Maxwell is yet to be properly unleashed but the biggest issue for the Kings XI has been with the ball. In their last three outings the Kings couldn’t take a wicket against CSK, let in 191 against Mumbai and couldn’t defend 223 when facing Rajasthan. Clearly they have serious problems on the bowling front.

Betolimp Bets:

Total sixes in the match – Under 12.5 @ 1.83

Both teams have struggled to really set the comp alight with their big hitting and this isn’t Sharjah.

Top RCB Bowler – N Saini @ 5.50

The big quick didn’t have his best day out against Delhi but he has impressed me thus far.

Man of the Match – S Curran @ 17.00

For a plucky performer who has the ability to add something with both bat and ball and playing in a team that I fancy to win.
