csk2019Couch Critic previews the Indian Premier League matches taking place on Saturday 17th October including best bets from @Olimp_SA

Let’s see what stands out for the two IPL games on Saturday.

Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Saturday 17 October – DSC Dubai

RCB saw their momentum stopped in it’s tracks as they stumbled over their own feet both in terms of tactics and performance against the Kings XI. Kohli and his chargers will be desperate for victory against the old foe as they look to remain at the sharp end of the table. The Royals on the other hand will be mindful of the fact that they can’t afford to let the top three or four sides get away. Rajasthan come off a disappointing batting collapse against Delhi.

Betolimp Bets:

Top Royals Batsman – B Stokes @ 4.33

In just his second game back Stokes was timing it sweetly last timeout. The freedom afforded him by opening also gives him full value for his shots early on. The rest of the batting line-up has look out of sorts of late.

To score the most sixes in the match – AB de Villiers @ 6.00

After their serious tactical blunder on Friday I fully expect AB to stride to the wicket with plenty of time to do damage on this occasion.

Top RCB Bowler – N Saini @ 6.00

Morris has been in superb form and Chahal is always in the running but at the price Saini catches the eye for someone who really has impressed me to date.

Highest 1st 6 Overs – Rajasthan Royals @ 1.90

Part of the English whiteball philosophy is to keep going hard. The combo of Stokes and Buttler should get off to a brisk start whilst Finch hasn’t been at his most explosive in the tournament.

Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings, Saturday 17 October – Sharjah

CSK secured a vital 2 points against SRH and they will be keen to now pick up some momentum in the competition. They are however facing a Delhi side topping the table at present thanks to a solid all-round game. Their bowling attack in particular has been the shining light with Rabada getting great support from R Ashwin and Nortje.

Betolimp Bets:

Faf du Plessis to score a fifty – YES @ 3.20

After a red-hot start Faf’s blade has cooled over the past two matches. I expect the SA veteran to cope better than most against the two fire-breathing South African quicks and raise his bat in the end.

Top CSK Bowler – RA Jadeja @ 6.00

The Chennai bowling unit has hardly flourished but with the tracks becoming lower and slower as the tournament goes on the spinners are becoming more of a factor. Jadeja also looks to have recaptured his best form.

Player to score the most sixes – M Stoinis @ 12.00

I am going back to the burly Aussie to deliver for me in this market. There aren’t that many big hitters in this match and with Pant in al likelihood still missing (and thus Hetmeyer as well) Stoinis is left as one of the bigger hitters on both sides.
