csk2019Couch Critic previews the Indian Premier League matches taking place on 22nd and 23rd October including best bets from @Olimp_SA

It’s moving time in the IPL as we hit the final bend before the home straight.

Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Thursday 22 October – DSC Dubai

Sitting in sixth and seventh spot respectively both team will know that this is a must-win clash as they look to make a move toward the top four. Both these sides have some great talent in their ranks but haven’t always been able to get their balance right and perform consistently. I do however feel that the Royals tick most of the boxes on paper and should be favoured to deliver on the grass.

Betolimp Bets:

To win the game – Rajasthan Royals @ 1.92

The Sunrisers have some impressive individuals, but the Royals are starting to look like a settled unit now.

Top Royals Batsman – B Stokes @ 4.50

Stokes hasn’t taken long to look the part and he gets first crack as opener. Apart from Rashid there is little to fear from this Sunrisers attack and the fiery red head should come out blazing.

Top SRH Batsman – K Williamson @ 5.00

Williamson was finally moved to the opening spot in the last match and the Kiwi looks well suited to this role.

To score the most sixes in the match – J Buttler @ 8.00

Whilst Williamson has been promoted by Hyderabad, the Royals have pushed Josh down the order into the finisher role and it worked a treat against CSK.

Man of the Match – J Archer @ 10.00

Archer has been head and shoulders the best bowler in Rajasthan’s ranks and as such his price in the top bowler market is a touch too low for my liking. I will rather take Jofra to be the main man securing the win for his side in the Man of the Match market.

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians, Friday 23 October – Sharjah

CSK find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table and pretty much out of the running for IPL 2020 glory. A seven-wicket demolition at the hands of the Rajasthan Royals was probably the final straw for a side that just never got going in 2020 – their senior stars not being able to consistently recapture their spark. Mumbai succumbed to the Kings XI in their last clash after TWO Power Plays yet still find themselves second on the log and in a prime position to claim a playoff spot with some room to spare.

Betolimp Bets:

Player to score the most sixes – Q de Kock @ 7.50

Quiney has been in superb form in recent times and naturally enjoys an expansive approach. The short Sharjah boundaries should be very much in his sights.

Top CSK Bowler – I Tahir @ 3.50

After their last loss the talk from Dhoni seemed to point toward a bit more of a horses for courses approach from the men in yellow from this stage on. Tahir should thus be given his first run-out and I expect the exuberant leggy to come out firing.

Top CSK Batsman – R Jadeja @ 13.00

Jadeja bats well down the order for Chennai but against a strong Mumbai bowling attack he should be called on. The Indian allrounder has been one of the few CSK players that has looked ultra-competitive time and again, be it with bat or ball. At this price I have to have a nibble.

Top Mumbai Bowler – J Bumrah @ 3.00

Bumrah started the comp rather slowly but looks to be getting back to his best. I expect the best death bowler in world cricket to keep going with this momentum.
