nrl 2Couch Critic previews the NRL Week 18 matches taking place on the 17th and 18th July including his best bets and tryscorer specials with @Olimp_SA

STORM vs KNIGHTS – Sat 17 Jul @ 11:35, Gold Coast

It’s a case of knit one slip one for the Knights whilst the Storm have been consistently victorious. Ponga has been named along with the likes of Addo-Carr and Munster for the Storm. Given his issued with injury I would be surprised if the superstar fullback takes to the field. A Newcastle team sans Kalyn will have zero chance of an upset but even with the pocket rocket in their ranks I just don’t see this Melbourne team stumbling at this stage despite the news of them having to station themselves in Queensland from this point on.

WARRIORS vs PANTHERS – Sun 18 Jul @ 05:50, Brisbane

The Panthers have shown themselves to be a different animal (more pussycat, less panther) when they don’t have Cleary and a few of his mates at their disposal. I don’t expect a Penrith side without their usual halves to hit their very best levels but I don see them having too much fire power for the Kiwis.

BRONCOS vs TIGERS – Sun 18 Jul @ 08:05, Brisbane

For a change the Broncos come into this clash off the back of success and they will fancy their chances against a Tigers side on a horrid run. The Broncos have the tendency to drop the ball just as soon as someone dares showing some faith in them but somehow, I find myself gravitating toward a home team victory in this one. I’m looking at Kotoni Staggs to start getting back to his best.

RABBITOHS vs BULLDOGS – Sun 18 Jul @ 10:15, Gold Coast

It should really just be a question of how many? With 23 tries across their last three matches the Bulldogs catch Souths at the worst possible time. You would be hopping mad to opposing the Bunnies in this clash.
