NRL ROUND 15 – SATURDAY & SUNDAY MATCHES

Let’s take a look at the weekend’s action in Round 15 of the NRL.

KNIGHTS vs WARRIORS – Sat 19 Jun @ 07:00, Newcastle

The Knights have some disappointing losses to their name (16-42 to the Titans, 4-38 versus Roosters, 18-36 against Tigers, a 20-36 beating from the Cowboys and 4-40 hiding at the hands of the Eels) and the Warriors will fancy their chances against the Ponga-less Newcastle side.

These Knights have been un-saddled and the Kiwis could even potentially hand out a substantial hiding if they are in full warrior mode for this one.

DRAGONS vs RAIDERS – Sat 19 Jun @ 09:30, Wollongong

The loser from this clash can start practicing the royal wave as they will surely be waving their playoff chances good bye. The Raiders have experienced an annus horribilis in 2021 and despite sneaking past the Bulldogs and beating the Broncos they will need to take a further step up to defeat the fire-less Dragons. Last week the Dragons delivered a hoarse performance with not even a puff of smoke to be seen as they went belly up against the Bulldogs. I’m confused as to whether the hosts will be able to find a Halls lozenge in time to find their voice (fire) or whether the Canberra based outfit can somehow grow some chest hairs and in the space of a few weeks and deliver a strong showing. Don’t blow the kids’ college fund on this one folks.

STORM vs TIGERS– Sat 19 Jun @ 11:35, Sunshine Coast

The Tigers are way down in 13th spot but have proven entertaining to watch. Unfortunately for the Wests this is just a very complete Storms outfit who have all the credentials to go all the way in 2021 – AGAIN.

EELS vs BULLDOGS – Sun 20 Jun @ 06:00, Sydney

The Eels are there and there abouts at this stage. They just haven’t quite been able to mix it with the best but are a solid side in fourth spot. The last few weeks they have found their attacking rhythm and the Bulldogs could be in for a long day. The Dogs finally picked up a big W last week and will be feeling pretty chuffed with themselves, however Parramatta are likely to bring them down to earth with a thud.

TITANS vs SEA EAGLES – Sun 20 Jun @ 08:05, Gold Coast

The Titans are losing their way at present whilst the Manly lads are enjoying life like it’s another beautiful day at the beach – enjoying the sunny side of life. Fresh off dazzling their way past the Cowboys I see the Sea Eagles producing another free-flowing display in the Gold Coast and shining brightly and brilliantly with another victory.
