Well the Crusaders did deliver the half time cap but as for the rest of it – it was a blood bath! The absolute dip in form of the log leading Crusaders has coincided with a financial loss for yours truly but I’m ready to get back on the horse (now let’s home the Crusaders are also ready to pick their lance back up again).

The Chiefs are running HOT. With four straight wins the men from Hamilton now find themselves in solo second. They might have snuck home by 3 points or less in all three their last victories but clearly these lads know how to get the job done!
Facing the unenviable task of trying to stop the momentum of the Chiefs is the mercurial Hurricanes. The Canes lost to the Blues but had the beating of the Highlanders before their recent break and have proven a tough team to catch right. I’m happy opposing the men in yellow this week though.

There is continuity in selection and results for the Chiefs at present. Lachlan Boshier is superb as fetcher and the backline is filled with finishers. Surely at home the Crusaders will finally get back to winning way.
This time around I expect the Chiefs to win and win well.
Crusaders vs Blues – Sunday 25 Apr @ 05:35, Christchurch
The Crusaders enter this match off the back of three straight losses. The Blues have been a touch up and down but come into this one having let in five tries against the Highlanders.
The Aucklanders aren’t quite operating at the level that they would like at present. Of course, the same can be said of the defending champions. But they are back at home and all the talk this week will be about not losing a second match at the Church and certainly not slipping to a fourth defeat – something completely foreign to the mighty Crusaders. Again I expect a fired up response form the home side.
