Blues vs Brumbies – Saturday 29 May @ 09:15, Auckland
The Blues have looked fluent on attack, dispatching with ease what has been put in front of them thus far, but they meet the more resolute Brumbies in this encounter. The Super Rugby AU finalists will be tasked with trying to finally wrestle back some pride for the Aussies but it will be a tough task against the Auckland based outfit who on their day are vicious in attack.
The Brumbies kept the Crusaders honest but let their guard down against the Chiefs. With it being their third week in Kiwiland this could prove a step too far for the men from Canberra but for some reason I think they Brumbies can keep this relatively close (the caveat being that going in favour of the Australian teams has proven costly to date).

The Reds have been the disappointment of the Trans-Tasman tournament and things don’t get any easier for them as they host the Chiefs. The home side will be hoping that extensive travel finally takes it’s toll on the losing Aotearoa finalists but again this is a Kiwi who can cut you to shreds if things click on the day. I certainly have enough respect to not start running with it by again I have a feeling that the scissors will be put away in Townsville and the Aussie champs will be able to tape together a tight enough effort.

After much chaos this match will finally go ahead in Sydney on Sunday. One would expect the change of venue would suit the Rebels more but the Melbourne side have shown zero on attack and I fear for the worse for them as the Landers take them to church on this Sunday. I’m backing the big man Frizell to deliver the sermon and have a huge game and the Aussies to struggle to contain the man-mountain.
