france.matchCouch Critic previews the Tri Nations clash between Australia and Argentina plus England v France in the Autumn Nations Cup including best bets with @Olimp_SA

There is Tri-Nations as well as Autumn Nations Cup to look forward to this weekend as both competitions reach their final match.

Australia vs Argentina – Saturday 05 Dec @ 10:45, Sydney

Argentina were dealt a rotten hand. Having to play four gruelling internationals on the trot is a very tough ask, added to this the timing of off-field issues have hit them at a very inconvenient time with regard to this final match against the Aussies. Physically and mentally these tough South American buggers must be running on empty at this stage and come into this clash off the back of an All Black game where it felt like they were forced to make more tackles in 80 minutes than Schalk Burger and Richie McCaw combined over their entire career.

The Aussies have been an up-and-down team in 2020. They have experienced the highs of drawing against the Kiwis in NZ and beating them at Suncorp yet also suffering a near forty-point defeat to the men in black jus t over a month ago. The last outing between these two sides saw a 15-all draw.

Betolimp Bets:

Australia -13.5 @ 1.90

A two-try handicap is a significant yet there is a very real chance that things could get ugly for the Argies. Emotionally they could be ready to run through brick walls for their captain but physically and mentally the run of four games should catch up to them in Sydney – also being away from home for what is approaching two months in total.

HT/FT Margin – Australia (1-8) / Australia (13+) @ 5.50

As stated above, the visitors could start hungry but run out of steam in the second stint.

Wincast – Jordan Petaia to score the First Try and Australia to win @ 12.00

Petaia is a remarkable young talent. With James O’Connor back to pull the strings at 10 it will hopefully free up the outside backs of the Aussies a bit more and give Jordan a good chance of getting the opening score.

Last Tryscorer – Jake Gordon @ 21.00

I’ve backed Jake before. The busy scrumhalf has an eye for the line and often pops up in the right place at the right time. Against a tired Argentine defence he could prove a danger.

England vs France – Sunday 06 Dec @ 16:00, Twickenham

Probably the main dish of the entire post COVID season as England and France meet for the final of the Autumn Nations Cup at Twickenham on Sunday. The French achieved victories over Italy and Scotland whilst England took care of business against Wales, Ireland and Georgia.

Betolimp Bets:

France +16.5 @ 1.88

The French have been adamant to use this competition to give a bigger squad some game time and this will hold them in good stead going forward. Regardless of who the Frogs eventually end up selecting for this clash I feel this cap is just too high. England are a clinical side who should grind out the win but I seriously doubt it will be a run-away victory for the hosts.

Also: HT/FT Margin (England (1-8) / England (1-12) @ 6.50

Additional International Plays

Double: Scotland +9.5 (vs Ireland) onto Italy +16.5 (vs Wales) @ 3.44

I’ve also added a sneaky play that the Italians could give their hosts a first half scare in Wales…

HT/FT Margin – Italy (1-8) / Wales (1-12) @ 17.00
