everton1819Our English Premier League treble for Saturday 11th January includes tips for Everton v Brighton, Leicester v Southampton and Wolves v Newcastle with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA

Last weekend we switched focus to the FA Cup and our treble landed at enhanced odds of 8.90 after Barnsley won at Crewe, over 2.5 goals arrived in the Burton v Northampton game and both sides found the net in the clash between Middlesbrough and Spurs.

Our record now stands at 4 successful trebles from 8 attempts. It's back to the Premier League this weekend, all 3 legs take place on Saturday and the odds have been boosted to 6.20

Leg 1 Everton v Brighton

Goodsion Park is our first port of call for the Everton v Brighton clash.

Everton were humbled by Liverpool's kids in the FA Cup at Anfield last weekend but their league form since Marco Silva's departure is encouraging with just 1 defeat in the last 6 moving them up towards mid table. That recent loss came away at Manchester City whilst the pevious 5 league outings delivered 3 wins and 2 draws and the Toffees have conceded just 1 goal in the last 3 at Goodison.

Brighton are 1 point behind Everton in the standings and they hit the road bidding to improve on a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats. They have proved to be a very capable side at times this season but given they have lost over half of their away games they could be vulnerable here.

Last week's FA Cup display by Everton would be of some concern but they have won 5 of 10 league games at home and this is the sort of fixture they ought to be taking maximum points from.

Prediction: Everton win

Leg 2 Leicester v Southampton

We move on to Leicester for Leg 2 where the home side take on improving Southampton.

Leicester were given a reality check when they were decidedly second best at Manchester City and at home to Liverpool over Christmas but they bounced back to win their 2 most recent league matches and are still in second spot in the standings.

Leicester have won 7 of 10 Premier League games in front of their own supporters and they have kept 4 clean sheets at the King Power Stadium. They also crushed Saturday's opponents Southampton 9-0 when the teams met at St. Mary's earlier in the season.

With the above in mind this road trip could have Southampton fans fearing the worst but to their credit the Saints have done pretty well since that debacle. With 3 wins and 1 draw in their last 4 league games they have opened up a 5 point cushion over the relegation zone. Furthermore, since losing 3-0 at Burnley on the opening weekend Southampton have found the net in 9 consecutive away fixtures including visits to the likes of Manchester City (lost 2-1) and Chelsea (won 2-0).

Respect for Leicester's achievements this season but even if they win again here Southampton still get our vote to contribute to the scoring. Both sides to find the net is our play for Leg 2.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Leg 3 Wolves v Newcastle

For those viewers who are new to our weekly treble feature we keep the same format every week and that leaves us looking for an over 2.5 goals pick.

Wolves suffered back to back defeats either side of new year but they are still just 6 points behind fourth placed Chelsea. Earlier in the season the bulk of their matches were tight, low scoring affairs but that trend has reversed and 7 of the last 10 have delivered for backers of over 2.5 goals. They have found the net in 19 of their 21 league games and a reasonably early goal in this game would force Newcastle to come out and play.

Newcastle have had more than their fair share of injury problems of late and they have conceded 9 goals in losing each of the last 3. Their away fixtures average exactly 3 goals per game and if they find themselves chasing this game they could be in for a torrid afternoon as Wolves have lightning pace in their forward ranks.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
