The big leagues in Europe are preparing to start the 2020/21 season and we have put together a treble for Sunday's matches with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA
Last season we landed 5 trebles from 21 attempts to provide a decent return although it was tough going towards the end. We stick with the same match result, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score format for Sunday's fixtures and the odds have been boosted to 6.00.
Leg 1 West Brom v Leicester
West Brom were promoted automatically from the Championship last season although they put their fans through the mill with some nervy displays in the run in. Slaven Bilic has converted a couple of last season's loan signings into permanent deals but it looks like they will need further recruits if they are to defy odds of around even money to be relegated.
Leicester ran out of steam towards the end of last season having seemed on course for a top 4 finish. It was still a highly successful campaign with a fifth place finish and they have held on to all their star performers with the exception of Ben Chilwell who moved to Chelsea for big money.
West Brom were free scoring for most of their Championship promotion campaign but big questions will be asked of their defence at this level. We fancy goals and over 2.5 is the first leg of our treble.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Leg 2 Spurs v Everton
Spurs finished sixth last season and they conceded far more goals than Jose Mourinho would have wanted. They have brought in some defensive reinforcements in a bid to solve that issue and at the other end of the park the Harry Kane, Son Dele Alli combination should guarantee a healthy goals return.
Everton finished a turbulent season just below half way in the standings. They started poorly and opted to bring in Carlo Ancelotti which sparked some improvement but their end of season matches were often pretty tame affairs. Ancelotti's record suggests he should be more than capable of turning Everton into a much stronger unit this time around and whilst they may struggle to keep Spurs out we fancy they can contribute to the scoring here.
Prediction: Both teams to score
Leg 3 Villarreal v Huesca
That leaves us looking for a match result pick and Villarreal fit the bill. Unai Emery is the coach tasked with improving on a fifth place finish last season and he inherits a squad which has plenty of attacking talent. Closing the gap to the Madrid sides and Barcelona won't be easy but they look every bit as strong as they were in 2019/20 and this is the sort of fixture where they ought to make no mistake.
Huesca are a newly promoted side and the outright betting markets suggest a season of struggle lies ahead. They are favourites to go straight back down and this fixture represents a tough start.
