Let’s take a look at the weekend fixtures for Round 19 of the NRL.
MANLY SEA EAGLES vs GOLD COAST TITANS – Sat 19 Sep @ 07:00, Lottoland Sydney
Things have gotten messy for the Sea Eagles but all the talk is of Tommy Turbo finally returning to the fold for Manly – unfortunately way too late to save a top 8 spot for them. The Titans have punched above their weight at times and come into this one off the back of three straight W’s. It’s hard having confidence either way here but the Sea Eagles have managed 32 points on both their last outings so their attacking play seems to be coming together.
MELBOURNE STORM vs WEST TIGERS – Sat 19 Sep @ 09:30, Sunshine Coast
The Tigers fought back well against the Bunnies last week but this Storms team is a different animal, especially on defense. Wests should have a hard time breaking them open. The cap is high but I can’t find myself opposing Melbourne at present.
SYDNEY ROOSTERS vs CRONULLA SHARKS – Sat 19 Sep @ 11:35, SCG Sydney
The Roosters are showing glimpses of tuning up the band at exactly the right time of the season. That being said this Sharks outfit know how to get themselves over the whitewash when Shaun Johnson is running the show. I expect the Sharks to stay in the fight in this one.
CANBERRA RAIDERS vs NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – Sun 20 Sep @ 06:00, Canberra
The one team is all class and the other is utter garbage. This cap is understandably high as the clinical Storm should have little trouble in putting the woeful Cowboys away on Sunday.
NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS vs DRAGONS – Sun 20 Sep @ 08:05, Newcastle
The Sharks get the opportunity to well and truly secure their playoff spot by beating their direct rivals for a top eight spot. The Warriors have shown some good fight for the most part during 2020 and have certainly punched above their weight given the obstacles they have encountered. With Magicman Shaun Johnson back for Cronulla I have to favour them to get the job done.

Double: Storm -8.5 onto Sharks +23.5 @ 1.96
Speculative: Knights -20.5 @ 4.04(when Newcastle do click they often romp home with room to spare)
Sea Eagles vs Titans: HT/FT Margin – Manly (1-8) / Titians (1-12) @ 17.00
Raiders vs Warriors: HT/FT Margin – Raiders (1-8) / Raiders (13+) @ 6.10
The value lies with a Titans upset in my opinion whilst the Raiders are a team who often grind an opponent down before unleashing the punishment later on.
