Olimp3kSignUp jan19With allowance being made for Champions League action, the Premier League fixtures are coming thick and fast at the moment. After this weekend’s round of matches there will only be a single figure number of games remaining and things are coming down to the wire - and not only at the top of the board.

THE BATTLE OF LONDON

Tottenham and Arsenal clash in London-derby which could have a big say both right at the very top of the table as well as regarding the Top 4 battle. Dropped points of any nature to Arsenal would surely be a final, fatal final blow to the title aspirations of Spurs. The Gunners for their part have Man U and Chelsea snapping at their heels for the coveted Champions League positions.

Spurs have been a bit tough to call of late. The one thing that should be a certainty is that the visitors will be able to get one in the net, but also that they will be letting at least one in as well. Bet accordingly…

NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Neither of the top two have easy assignments in front of them on Sunday. Bournemouth have proved a tough nut to crack at home whilst Everton sit a mere one point below them on the log. Whilst these types of away games often represent very real threats of an ambush Liverpool will take heart from the fact that the Evertonians have come up short against Wolves, Man City and Watford of late. But of course, this is the Merseyside derby and often form counts for very little on such occasions – Everton would surely like nothing more than tripping up their old rivals at this crucial stage.

Bournemouth took five of the best from Arsenal, 3 from Liverpool and two against Cardiff. Those were however all away from home. In the past month they have drawn 1-1 with Wolves and walloped Chelsea 4 duck on their home patch. These lads seem to be revitalised every time they host a side at the Vitality Stadium. City for their part have had a busy schedule as they claimed the League Cup recently and look set to move onto the quarter finals of the Champions League. It is a tough task maintaining form through all these challenges and the defending Premiership Champions appeared to feel the effects against West Ham on Wednesday. There is no rest for the wicked and the second placed City need to bag the three points to keep pushing The Reds all the way to the line. From a betting perspective the price on City is just too short for my liking so I will stay clear of involving my wallet in this one.
