BettingDiaryThe first of the Champions League quarter-finals takes place on Wednesday with Atalanta up against PSG in Lisbon. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

Atalanta looked dead and buried earlier in this tournament going down 4-0 on Matchday 1, but they finished the Group Stages strongly and then overcame the more fancied Valencia 8-4 on aggregate in the Round of 16. Atalanta’s last 16 tie against Valencia was completed before the COVID-19 break and their domestic form has been very impressive with just 1 defeat in the last 3 months although that did come in their last League match at home to Inter where they lost 2-0.

PSG faced a very dangerous Dortmund side in the last 16 and they lost the opening leg 2-1 on the road before coming back to win 2-0 at home for a 3-2 aggregate win. They were in cracking form in the Group Stages with their only points dropped being a 2-2 away draw at Real Madrid.

PSG have not played as many games as Atalanta since returning to action after the COVID-19 break, but they have won all 4 League matches in that time and they have not conceded a goal in 6 matches in League and Cup.

Betting:

Atalanta 5/2

Draw 29/10

PSG 19/20

Suggested Bet: PSG win at even money

As well as Atalanta have played this season I think PSG are going to be too strong for them and can see them booking their semi-final spot in some style.
