BettingDiaryThere is just one English Premier League match taking place on Tuesday night and it features Chelsea up against Norwich. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

CHELSEA v NORWICH

Chelsea are holding on to 3rd on the table at the time of writing after a 3-0 away loss at Sheffield United. There is every possibility that Manchester United will win on Monday night and push Chelsea down to 4th.

Chelsea’s home record has been strong this season with 9 wins and 3 draws in their 17 starts and they have won their last 4 home matches including a 3-0 win against Watford and 2-1 over Manchester City since play has resumed after the break. Chelsea’s home games have averaged 2.5 goals each and 9 of the 17 matches have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers. The recent trend is for high scoring games and the last 4 matches have seen 3 goals or more in them.

Norwich are bottom on the table and guaranteed to be relegated this season. They have lost all 6 matches since returning from the COVID-19 break and their losing streak in the EPL now sits at 7 matches. They were hammered 4-0 at home by West Ham in their last start and their last 2 away matches were a 2-1 defeat at Watford and a 4-0 beating by Arsenal. They have won once in just 17 attempts on the road, scoring just 7 goals in that time. 10 of the 17 Norwich away matches have had 2 goals or less in them and while they have only scored 7 on the road they have conceded 32 at almost 2 goals a match.

Chelsea beat Norwich 3-2 on the road back in August.

Chelsea 2/13

Draw 15/2

Norwich 17/1

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Chelsea (-2) at 21/20

Chelsea will be looking to take advantage that Leicester lost to Bournemouth and a Top 4 finish is still very much up for grabs. They face a team that has nothing left to fight for and looking at their recent home record I can’t look past a comfortable Chelsea victory.

Other markets which may be of interest is over 3.5 goals trading at 9/10, both teams to score, YES, is odds against at 11/10 although personally I would be surprised if Norwich get on the score sheet. There is also the first, last and anytime goals scorer markets. If I have to pick a correct score here I would have a nibble at Chelsea 5-0 at 5/1.
