BettingDiaryThe Proteas set up a thrilling 3rd T20 when they levelled the series beating Pakistan by 6 wickets in Lahore on Saturday.

There is no time to rest for either team with Sunday’s 3rd and deciding T20 taking place at the same ground and we take a look at the match from a betting angle.

Having narrowly lost the 1st T20, South Africa were big underdogs going into the 2nd match, but they bowled excellently to restrict Pakistan to a 144 for 7. Dwaine Pretorius was the star of the show opening the bowling and finishing with an incredible 5 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.

He was ably supported by JJ Smuts upfront and Shamsi put in another economical performance taking 1 for 16 in his 4 to keep the pressure on the Pakistani batsmen.

The Proteas looked in trouble early, but another good knock by Reeza Hendricks with 42 and a matching 42 from Van Biljon and they got home with 6 wickets and over 3 overs to spare.

3rd T20 Bettingclick here to bet

Pakistan 11/20

South Africa 15/10

The Proteas have been shown negligible respect from the bookmakers after two strong performances and I must say I am tempted to back them to wrap up the series, but will stick to my strategy of Exotic Bets.

SUGGESTED BET: Top Home Batsman, Azam at 21/10

Azam has failed in both T20’s so far and I just can’t see that run continuing. I am expecting a more circumspect start from him tomorrow and reckon he will kick on and be the Top Batsman for his team.

SUGGESTED BET: Top Away Bowler, Shamsi at 33/10

Shamsi has been very economical in the first two T20’s and he hasn’t picked up the wickets as Pakistan have been content to play him out. With the likes of Dwaine Pretorius going so well in the 2nd match, Pakistan strategy may have to change and that could mean wickets for Shamsi.

If you are new to cricket betting look out for in-running options, particularly on T20’s where the markets fluctuate almost on a ball to ball basis.
