BettingDiaryWe take a close look at Friday’s sports betting and horse racing highlights in our Daily Diary.

GOLF

The Nedbank Challenge continues on Friday and Louis Oosthuizen the pre-tournament favourite at 8/1 for the win has made a fantastic start and has now shortened into 19/20 favourite with Thomas Detry at 12/1 and you can get 18/1 about Tommy Fleetwood and last year’s winner, Lee Westwood.

For those looking to back Louis remember our promo where you can back any player before the start of Round 2 and should your player win you will be entered into a draw for a R5000 Pro Shop Voucher. See details on the banner below.

Ernie Els also made an excellent start and is (-4), 5 shots off the gallop, but the bet we fancy after Round 1 Erik van Rooyen to finish in the Top 4 at 6/1. He is 7 shots behind Oosthuizen, but only 2 shots off the Top 4 and is in superb form.

CRICKET

The Mzansi Super League continues with the Durban Heat up against the Paarl Rocks and both sides are priced at 10/11. We would be very surprised if this game takes place given the weather down in Durban at the moment, but assuming it does there are plenty of Exotic Markets on offer.

Internationally India are now short as 1/100 to beat Bangladesh in their first test.

RUGBY

There is live rugby on Friday night with Gloucester up against Toulouse in the Champions Cup. Gloucester have been somewhat disappointing in recent weeks and they face a very strong looking Toulouse side who are favourites at 8/10 with Gloucester 11/10 and the draw on offer at 20/1. There are plenty of Exotic Markets and there will also be a Total Points Lines closer to kick-off.

FOOTBALL

There is no English Premier League this weekend, but the Euro 2020 Qualifiers continue and you can click here for the betting on all of the matches as well as the AFCON qualification matches taking place this weekend

TENNIS

The ATP Tour Finals in London is coming to the end of the Group stages and we should be in for two thrilling encounters on Friday with Rafael Nadal 11/20 to see off Stefanos Tsitsipas who is 29/20 and in the other match in the Andre Agassi Group, Daniil Medvedev is 19/20 and Alexander Zverev 8/10. There are Exotic Markets priced up on each game and you can click here for all ATP betting.

HORSE RACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Fairview Turftrack in Port Elizabeth, an 8 race card starting at 12:25 and scheduled to finish at 16:40.

It looks like we are going to have a strong favourite in the 1st Race, a first timer, Step Lively currently even money for the win and I can’t recall seeing a shorter price favourite than Foreign Source in the 2nd Race, priced at 2/11 for victory in a small field.

There are a lot more open races further down the card and we like the chances of Horse No. 4 in the 7th Race, Copper Trail currently on offer at 5/1 a win and 8/10 for a Top 3 finish.
