BettingDiaryStage 11 of the Tour de France takes place on Wednesday starting at Châtelaillon-Plage and covers 167.5 kilometres finishing in Poiters. We take a look at the stage from a betting perspective.

Stage 10 Wrap

Stage 10 of the Tour de France turned out in a bunch sprint as the betting suggested it would. It was by no means a straight forward stage though and the two man early break never got more than 90 seconds ahead before nervous tension in the peloton pulled them back due to potential cross winds. It was a day of crashes, but eventually the peloton hit the final kilometres together and Sam Bennett finally got his Tour de France victory holding off Caleb Ewan with Peter Sagan in 3rd.

Stage 11 looks another one for the sprinters and there is no doubt that the big sprint teams of Bennett and Ewan are going to want to bring this one together for a final dash to the line because after this we head into the mountains and there won’t be many chances for the sprinters until Paris.

Stage 11 Verdict

This route is slightly more undulating than yesterdays but the wind should not be a factor and that means it is even more likely to finish in a bunch sprint.

Ewan almost got to Bennett on yesterdays short run in and todays finish should be better suited to the stage 3 winner.

Stage 11 Bets: Ewan win at 22/10
