BettingDiaryArgentina will be looking to make it 2 in a row against New Zealand when they meet at the McDonald Jones Stadium in Australia on Saturday. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

Argentina will know this ground well having come back from 15-6 down to draw 15-15 with Australia on the weekend. That result came on the back of their stunning 25-15 win over the All Blacks and it leaves all 3 teams on 6 points with Argentina having played twice and New Zealand and Australia 3 times.

The problem for Argentina is that they have to play New Zealand and Australia back-to-back which will mean that they have played 4 tough test matches in a row and looking at the Outright Betting, New Zealand are firm favourites at 2/11 with Australia 6/1 and Argentina at 9/1.

The All Blacks have had a week to lick their wounds after the shock defeat to Argentina where they started 25 point favourites. Their previous matches were a 2 point loss to Australia and they opened their Tri-Nations campaign with a comfortable 38 point win over Australia in Sydney. It is that win and their superior points difference which sees them in a very good position heading into their final game.

Argentina 13/2

Draw 40/1

New Zealand 1/8

Handicap: Argentina (+17.5) at 9/10, New Zealand (-17.5) at 9/10

Suggested Bet: Winning Margin, New Zealand by 26-30 points inclusive at 6/1 and New Zealand win by 21-25 points inclusive at 11/2

This looks a tricky game to call and a lot will depend on how Argentina can stand up to a third tough week of rugby in a row. I think they will fade late in the game and New Zealand can pull clear and the bets above mean I need New Zealand to win by 21-30 points inclusive to collect.
