Delhi Capitals host Chennai Super Kings in the IPL on Tuesday and both these sides have made positive starts to the tournament.

Delhi Capitals visited Mumbai in their opening match and although they started as underdogs they came out on top by 37 runs. Batting first Delhi piled on 213/6 with Dhawan making 43, Ingram 47 and Risabh Pant smashed 78 off just 27 balls including 7 of his sides 11 maximums. Rabada (2/24) was the pick of the Delhi bowlers as Mumbai were bowled out for 176.
It was a cracking start for Delhi who won just 1 of their first 6 matches last season and finished with the wooden spoon.
Super Kings
As defending champions the Super Kings were involved in the opening match of IPL 2019. They hosted the Royal Challengers on Saturday and they won by 7 wickets. The Super Kings bowled RCB out for just 70 runs in 17.1 overs with their spinners Harbhajan Singh (3/20), Imran Tahir (3/9) and Jadeja (2/15) the stand out performs. In reply Shane Watson was out for a duck but CSK chipped away to get home in 17.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets

Last season the Super Kings were winners by 13 runs in a home game staged in Pune but Delhi turned the table with a 34 run home win towards the end of the round robin stage.
