The WSB Cape Cobras are in Momentum One Day Cup action on Tuesday when they travel to Bloemfontein for a televised clash against the Knights
It’s still very much the early stages of the tournament but these two sides could use a win as the Cobras have yet to open their points account after losing their only match so far whilst the Knights have 2 points to show from 2 outings. Looking up the Dolphins lead the way 8 points from 2 matches, 2 clear of the Warriors and 3 better off than the third placed Titans. The Lions are fourth with 4 points.
Knights:
The Knights opened their campaign with a hefty 9 wicket defeat away to the Titans when their bat first total of 262/5 was overhauled with more than a degree of comfort. Last weekend they were due to play the Lions in Johannesburg but the match was a total wash out. This will be the first home game of the tournament for the Knights.
Cobras:
The Cobras only outing so far saw them go down to the Warriors by 3 wickets in Paarl. The Cobras batted first in that game and made steady progress in their 50 overs to post 276/6. Verreynne top scored with 84 and other contributions came from Malan (54) and Hamza (49). It was a challenging but not overly imposing total and despite Smith returning figures of 3/46 in his 10 overs, the Warriors got up with just the 1 ball remaining in the match. The WSB Cobras website states the JP Duminy is not quite ready to return from injury.

Verdict:
The Cobras top order made a solid start without really getting away from the Warriors in their opening match whilst the Knights had all sort of problems in that department in their only completed game so far.
The Cobras to score the highest 15 over total is the pick.
