mi2019Royal Challengers Bangalore host Mumbai Indians in IPL Match 7 on Thursday with both sides looking to bounce back from disappointing displays in their opening matches.

Royal Challengers

RCB haven’t been in action since the opening match of the tournament last Saturday when they crashed to a 7 wicket defeat away to the Super Kings. They lost the toss and despite opening the batting with Kohli and with the likes of AB de Villiers to follow, RCB were all at sea against the CSK spinners, bowled out for just 70 in 17.1 overs. Partiv Patel top scored with 29 and he was the only RCB batsmen to reach double figures. Chahal (1/6 in 4 overs) did strike early for RCB with the ball but CSK were watchful and only 2 other wickets fell.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians opened their tournament at home to Delhi on Sunday and although they started as favourites they also finished well beaten. Mumbai used 6 bowlers, all of whom went for more than 10 per over as Delhi posted a very healthy total of 213/6. In the chase Yuvrah top scored with 53 but Mumbai’s other big guns tended to get in without kicking on and they were bowled out for 176 in 19.2 overs.

Betting Angle

Both these teams were slow starters in 2018 and this looks a tough match to call. After due consideration preference is for Mumbai who let their game against Delhi slip away with some below par death bowling which gave their big hitters too much to do.

Bet: Mumbai Indians to win at 9/10
