cobrast20Tuesday’s televised action in the CSA T20 Challenge comes from Newlands where the WSB Cape Cobras take on the Knights

WSB Cape Cobras:

The WSB Cape Cobras come into the game at the top of the standings with a record of 3 wins and 1 defeat. This is their third successive home game and they had a good weekend in the Cape, beating the Warriors by 7 wickets in Paarl on Friday and following up with an 8 run victory over the Dolphins at Newlands on Sunday.

The Cobras posted 152/6 in Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, the first at Newlands in this season’s CSA T20 Challenge. Kleinveldt took 2 of 3 early Dolphins wickets to fall, there was a fightback but the visitors had too much to do. Kleinveldt’s figures of 2/9 in his 4 overs proved to be the difference.

This was how the Cobras lined up against the Dolphins last time out:

Janneman Malan, Hashim Amla, David Bedingham, Kyle Verreynne (wk), Aviwe Mgijima, George Linde, Vernon Philander, Rory Kleinveldt (capt), Dane Paterson, Tladi Bokako.

Knights:

The Knights are still looking for a first win and they are bottom of the standings with a record of 2 defeats and 2 no results. On Sunday their home game against the Titans in Kimberley was halted after 17 overs with the Titans on 136/4 and the players never returned.

An earlier home game in Kimberley against the Warriors was abandoned without a ball being bowled. In 2 completed matches the Knights lost away to the Dolphins by 4 wickets and more recently they crashed to a 40 run defeat against the Lions in Potch.

This was how the Knights lined up last time out.

Patrick Kruger, Andries Gous (wk), Raynard van Tonder, Pite van Biljon (capt), Grant Mokoena, Ryan McLaren, Gerald Coetzee, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Eddie Leie, Tshepo Ntuli, Ottniel Baartman

Verdict:

The Cobras are in good touch and this is an opportunity to put some daylight into their other rivals who are in action later in the week.

Although bad weather has hampered the Knights campaign they have been short of runs when they have taken to the field.

With the Knights batting woes and general lack of game time in mind, a chance is taken on 2 or more ducks in total in the match for a small and speculative play.

Suggested Bet: Total Number of Ducks in the Match , over 1.5 at 2/1
