froomeStage 7 of Tour de France 2017 takes place on Friday 7th July, it’s another flat profile 213.5 km in length departing from in Troyes and finishing at Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Jersey Update:

Thursday was a similar stage to this one in terms of profile and distance and there was little enthusiasm for the breakaway which consisted of just three riders. Kittel obliged as favourite for the stage ahead of Demare and Greipel.

Froome remains in yellow, 12 seconds up on team mate Thomas with Aru third @14 seconds.

The green jersey rests on the shoulders of Demare who has 170 points with Kittel second on 143 and Matthews has 96.

Stage Profile

Just the one Cat 4 is the menu today, it comes 140km in and all the evidence points to a bunch sprint.

Stage 6 Betting - Winner

Kittel 13/20

Demare 5/2

Greipel 11/2

Kristoff 16/1

Groenewegen 16/1

Bouhanni 16/1

Note, prices are an early show, approx average at the time of writing and are subject to change.

Market Leaders

Kittel has won 2 of the sprint stages so far with Demare coming home first in the stage that saw Sagan DQ’d and Cavendish having to abandon. With little in the profile suggesting a different result to Thursday we could be set for a similar finishing order but the unpredictable nature of the sport sends me to an alternative to the favourite and Groenewegen carry’s my hopes.

Bets: Groenewegen 16/1
