Chelsea and Manchester United contest the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday and United start as slight favourites with the bookmakers.
Chelsea get another crack at the final after finishing as runners up to Arsenal last season. They came through their semi final with Southampton with a 2-0 victory and now bid to get their hands on the trophy they last lifted in 2011/12.
This is their only chance to land silverware in the current campaign and their bid could have ended in the third round when they needed a replay and penalty kicks to see of Championship side Norwich City. After that they saw off Hull City (4-0) and Newcastle (3-0) at Stamford Bridge and in the quarter finals they came away from Leicester with a 2-1 win in extra time
In the Premier League Chelsea finished fifth with 70 points, 11 shy of their opponents here.
The FA Cup is also the only opportunity for United to land a major trophy this season. They earned their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Spurs in the semi’s and that is the only goal they have conceded in this cup run. The road to the final began with a 2-0 home win over Championship side Derby followed by a 4-0 victory away at minnows Yeovil and a 2-0 win at Huddersfield. In the quarter finals they were 2-0 winners at home to Brighton. United last lifted this trophy in 2015/16.
In the Premier League United finished in second spot 19 points adrift of Manchester City

This is a chance for either side to finish the season on a high and it looks a tricky game to call. I’ll take a few speculative plays based on my gut feel that it will take more than 90 minutes to settle the argument.
