Arsenal were 2-0 winners at home to Leicester on Sunday, a fifth straight league win and going further back the Gunners have now won 10, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their last 12 league games. Their only defeat in that sequence came at home to Manchester City and they were unlucky to leave that game empty handed. Other recent league results include wins home and away to Wolves, a 2-1 home win over Brentford and 3-2 victory at Watford.

Arsenal finished the previous round in fourth spot, 1 point clear of Manchester United and 3 better off than West Ham and Arsenal have 3 games in hand on both those teams.

Manchester City's draw at Crystal Palace on Monday leaves the door open for Liverpool to close the gap in the title race to a single point. Coming into this game Liverpool are 4 points behind City with this game in hand and at the weekend they were 2-0 winners at Brighton.

Liverpool have reeled off 8 straight wins in the Premier League conceding just twice in the process. In addition they won the League Cup final and have progressed in the FA Cup and made it to the Champions League last 8 so they remain in the hunt for 4 pieces of silverware.

The Verdict:

This should be a cracking game and I'm siding with Liverpool but I think Arsenal are in good enough shape right now to give them a game and contribute to the scoring.

Away win and both teams to score? (yes) is my play.

Bets: Away win and both teams to score? (yes) at 5/2
