Arsenal

Arsenal returned to form with a 4-2 win at Chelsea on Wednesday, giving their hopes of a top 4 finish a massive boost in the process. The win at Stamford Bridge snapped a run of 3 successive defeats, away at Palace (3-0) and Southampton (1-0) either side of a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton.

The Gunners are now level on points with fourth placed Spurs, both teams have 6 remaining matches and Spurs have the better goal difference but they still have to meet each other before the end of the season.

Man United

United crashed and burned 4-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday and they are 3 points behind the North London duo having played a game more. They were without Ronaldo in midweek, it was his goal that had put United back in the race in the 3-2 home win over Norwich last weekend but they now have little margin for error.

United have won just 2 of their last 7 league games, drawing another 2 and losing 3. Those defeats all came away from home, including a 1-0 loss at Everton and a 4-1 defeat at City in the Manchester derby.

Recent Head to Head

The first league meeting this season was staged at Old Trafford in early December and United edged it 3-2

Last season's league meetings saw the game at The Emirates finish without a goal and Arsenal won 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The Betting

Arsenal are currently 11/10 to win the game with the draw at 5/2 and United can also be backed at 5/2

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 17/20 and it's 7/10 for both teams to score.

The Verdict:

There is still scope for more than one twist or turn in the race for a top 4 finish but if United lose here it would be hard to see them getting back into it and they were dreadful in midweek. Pogba picked up a knock at Anfield but whether Ronaldo returns is of much more relevance and the media will be worth watching in

that respect.

Whether Arsenal can build on an excellent win at Chelsea after they had shot themselves in the foot 3 matches in a row is the point in question and I can see them taking advantage of United's fragile defensive confidence and scoring twice.

Edward Mketiah was on the mark twice for the Gunners at Chelsea and hence his price to score any time looks worth an interest.
