Chelsea's cup run started with home wins over Chesterfield (5-1) and Plymouth (2-1 aet). They went on to win 3-2 away at Luton and then came through a potentially tricky quarter final with a 2-0 win at Middlesbrough.

Chelsea have already been to Wembley this season, losing the League Cup final to Liverpool after an epic penalty shoot out. They went out of the Champions League in midweek but they did put up a huge fight, beating Real Madrid 3-2 away from home on the night but bowing out on aggregate after they lost the first leg 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea look most likely to finish third in the Premier League standings. They went down 4-1 at home to Brentford recently but bounced back with a 6-0 win away to Southampton last weekend.

Crystal Palace

Palace thrashed Everton 4-0 in the quarter finals at Selhurst Park to book their ticket to Wembley. Their cup run also includes wins at home to Stoke (2-1) and Hartlepool (2-0) and away at Millwall (2-1).

Palace are tenth in the Premier League and a 2-1 loss at Leicester last weekend was their first defeat in 5 league outings. In other recent results they were 3-0 winners at home to Arsenal and held Manchester City to a 0-0 draw in London.

Conor Gallagher, who has been in excellent form for Palace this season will be unavailable as he is on loan from Chelsea.

Recent Head to Head

Chelsea won both league meetings this season, 1-0 at Selhurst Park in February and 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on the opening weekend of the season.

The Betting (90 mins)

Chelsea are currently 6/10 to win the game with the draw at 28/10 and Palace can be backed at 5/1

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 12/10 and it's also 12/10 for both teams to score.

To reach the final via any method of victory Chelsea are 1 / 4 and Palace can be backed at 3/1

The Verdict:

Chelsea were terrific in their league win at Southampton and I thought they were unlucky to go out of the UCL in midweek. They have to quickly put that disappointment behind them as this is their only remaining chance of a trophy this season.

They come up against a Palace side who have had a really good season with Viera proving many of us wrong in his first season as a Premier League coach. I think they will give a good account but I expect Chelsea to come through with a narrow victory in regulation time.
