bournemouth1819Our feratured match in the English Premier League on Tuesday night sees Crystal Palace host Bournemouth and we look to the goals markets for a bet.

Palace went into last Saturday's clash with Burnley on a poor run but they came away with a 2-0 win to move back into mid table. In their previous 5 league outings they had taken just 1 point from a 2-2 draw at Arsenal although the 4 recent defeats did come against the likes of Manchester City, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool. Palace have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 3 of their home fixtures this season, scoring 7 goals and conceding 5. Only 1 of those games has seen backers of over 2.5 goals collect and just 2 saw both sides find the net.

Jordan Ayew has 4 league goals for Palace, no other player has scored more than 2.

Bournemouth lost 3-2 at Spurs on Saturday, a third successive defeat and they are 1 point worse off than Palace in the standings. They were 3-0 down at one stage in that game before Harry Wilson struck twice although the second of those goals came right at the death. Bournemouth's 2 away wins this season came early in the campaign at Villa and Southampton, a visit to Watford finished without a goal and 4 other road trips ended in defeat. Over 2.5 goals has arrived on 5 occassions when Bournemouth have traveled.

Harry Wilson has scored 6 league goals for Bournemouth this season and Callum Wilson has scored 5.

The Betting

Palace are favouites at around 11/10 with the draw trading around 5/2 and Bournemouth can be backed at 26/10

Under 2.5 total match goals is priced at 15/20 with over 2.5 goals nearer even money and both teams to score? (yes) is 8/10.

Although Palace came away from Burnley with a win at the weekend both these teams have found it tough going of late and I'm open minded about the match result. Preference is for the goals markets and an old favourite of mine, 2-3 goals in total, gets the vote.

Bet: Total match goals 2-3 at even money
