Brighton 4/1, Draw 13/4, Liverpool 13/20

Heading into last week's visit to Aston Villa Brighton had been finding it tough going, without a win since they travelled to Newcastle on the second week of the season. However they gave themselves a much needed boost with a 2-1 victory to finish the round 5 points clear of third bottom Fulham. Brighton now go in search of a first home win after defeats to Chelsea (3-1) and Manchester United (3-2) followed by disappointing draws with West Brom and Burnley.

All 4 of Liverpool's home games this season have delivered for backers of over 2.5 goals and that was the case again last week as they completed a surprisingly comfortable 3-0 home win over Leicester to finish the round behind league leaders Spurs on goal difference. They now hit the road where their only league win this season came at Chelsea early in the campaign. Thereafter a remarkable 7-2 defeat at Villa was followed by draws at Everton (2-2) and Manchester City (1-1).

In midweek Liverpool lost a Champions League group match 2-0 at home to Atalanta but they are still strongly placed to qualify for the knockout rounds and this fixture is arguably the main focus this week. Brighton should take plenty from their win last week and I fancy they can contribute to the scoring in a game of 3 goals or more in total.

Bet: Both teams to score and over 2.5 total match goals? (yes) at 9/10

Everton 19/20, Draw 57/20, Leeds 53/20

Everton won their first 4 matches and then drew with Liverpool before losing each of their next 3 but they returned to action last week with a 3-2 win at Fulham. The Toffees made hard work of the maximum points last week, holding out at the death after controlling the first hour or so of the game. Everton won their first 2 home games comfortably, against West Brom (5-2) and Brighton (4-2). The goals continued to flow in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool and their most recent outing at Goodison saw them go down 3-1 to Manchester United.

It's hard to know what to make of Leeds who showed loads of promise early in the season but went into the international break on the back of heavy defeats at home to Leicester and away at Palace (both 4-1). They played out a 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal last week and as the Gunners finished the game with 10 men that arguably represented an opportunity missed to get right back on track.

Everton are potent enough up front but have been struggling to keep clean sheets and there was enough in Leeds earlier performances away at Liverpool (lost 4-3) and Villa (won 3-0) for me to go with the same outcome as for the above game, both sides scoring in a game of 3 goals or more in total.

Bet: Both teams to score and over 2.5 total match goals? (yes) at 8/10
