Wolves 1.92/1 Draw 2.12/1 Aston Villa 16/10

Over the course of the last 10 matches Wolves have 5 wins and 5 defeats against their name. They went down 3-2 at home to Leeds last time out, a game they led 2-0 when Jimenez was red carded and they collapsed in the final quarter of the game. A home record of 6 wins, 2 draws and 7 defeats suggests they are quite a conundrum for match result punters to wrestle with but they are only 4 points off a top 6 spot. Jimenez is suspended and Nevez is out with injury.

Villa are only 1 place behind Wolves but they have 10 fewer points. They have won 3 and lost 4 of their last 7 and prior to the international break they lost 2-1 at West Ham and 1-0 at home to Arsenal.

When the teams met in October Wolves pulled off an incredible comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with 3 goals from the 85th minute onwards.

The Verdict:

We have a couple of teams you might think twice about trusting the housekeeping with but my preference is for Villa given they had players who were on target for their countries this week plus Wolves are short of a couple of key players.

Bets: Aston Villa to win at 16/10

Man United 11/20 Draw 36/10 Leicester 4.65/1

United return to action in sixth place, 4 points behind fourth placed Arsenal who also have a game in hand. Their most recent league game delivered a 3-2 win over Spurs at Old Trafford but after that they were knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico who were 1-0 winners in Manchester. Reaching the top 4 is now the only remaining target for United.

Mid table Leicester have won 3 of their last 4 league games although those wins came against sides battling for form at the time, at Burnley and at home to Leeds and Brentford. Their most recent road trip saw them go down 2-0 at Arsenal and the Europa Conference League is their only chance of salvaging something from a disappointing season.

Leicester were 4-2 winners in the first league meeting this season and they also did the double over United in 2020/21.

The Verdict:

United have very little margin for error if they are to make the top 4 and they might not have things all their own way here.

I'm battling to settle on a betting interest but Fernandes is reportedly close to signing a new deal, he was on target twice for Portugal on Tuesday and gets the vote to score anytime for the hosts.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandes at 15/10
