Newcastle 6.05/1 Draw 3.82/1 Liverpool 0.43/1

Newcastle have reeled off 4 straight wins and are in the top half of the table for the first time this season. Their opponents in those matches haven't been in the best of form but with confidence high they should relish this crack at a title contender.

Liverpool remain 1 point behind Manchester City in a boat race for the title and in midweek they will take a 2-0 lead to Villarreal in the second leg of their Champions League semi final. With 13 wins and 1 draw in their last 14 league games they are keeping the pressure on City, using their depth in the squad to cope with a hectic schedule.

The Verdict:

Newcastle are in a good space but even though every game is a cup final for Liverpool right now, I don't see a surprise.

Liverpool to score in each half of football is my play

Bets: Away team to score in both halves? (yes) at 1.17/1

Watford 1.65/1 Draw 2.27/1 Burnley 1.72/1

Second bottom Watford have 22 points, 9 less than fourth bottom Burnley with Everton third bottom on 29 points and the Toffees have a game in hand. Watford have lost each of their last 4 and 7 of the last 9 and defeat here would see them as good as relegated.

Burnley have won 3 of their last 5 to revive hopes they can survive. Those 3 wins were all home games and 2 recent road trips delivered a 2-0 defeat at Norwich and a 1-1 draw with West Ham.

The Verdict:

I'm leaning towards Burnley although that recent defeat in a similar test at Norwich would have to be of concern. The first goal will be crucial and if Burnley get it I take the view they have the capability and belief to hold on to a lead. I'll keep it simple and just go with the away win.

Bets: Burnley to win at 1.72/1

Leeds 7.67/1 Draw 4.79/1 Manchester City 0.31/1

Leeds battled their way to a 0-0 draw at Palace on Monday, a crucial point as their run in is tough. They come into the weekend with 34 points, 5 clear of third bottom Everton (who have that game in hand) and they have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 to steady the ship. However, after this Leeds visit Arsenal and then host Chelsea before a home game against Brighton and a trip to Brentford so there is still work to do.

City switch focus to the title race after an epic 4-3 win over Real Madrid in the UCL in midweek. This will be their first EPL road trip since a 2-0 win at Burnley which followed a 0-0 draw at Palace and their only league defeat away from home came at Spurs on the opening weekend.

The Verdict:

City's run in looks more favourable than Liverpool's but this might be a much tougher game than it would have been a few weeks ago. Leeds are a different animal since changing coach and I expect them to set up to frustrate City. The total goals markets suggest we will see a bucket load of goals but I'm not so sure and 2-3

in total is my play.

Bets: Goal range 2-3 at 1.27/1
