Burnley 8.75/1 Draw 4.75/1 Liverpool 1 / 3

Bottom club Burnley are 4 points from safety but they do have 2 games in hand on many of their relegation rivals. They battled their way to a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United in midweek, an eleventh draw of the season but they remain stuck on just the 1 win.

Liverpool come into the weekend 9 points behind Manchester City but with a game in hand. They might well be back to something like full strength if Mane is available after a delayed return from AFCON as they go in search of a fourth straight league win.

The Verdict:

Liverpool to get the job done and hopefully with a clean sheet.

Bets: Multiple correct scores 0-1, 02 or 0-3 at 1.07/1

Newcastle 1.76/1 Draw 2.46/1 Aston Villa 16/10

Newcastles 3-1 home win over Everton in midweek lifted them out of the drop zone. They also won 1-0 at Leeds recently and if they go in again here it will be their third stright win.

Villa are good to watch and that was the case again in midweek although they had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Leeds and they are now 3 without defeat.

The Verdict:

I have question marks against both these sides defensively and for me this looks booked for 3 goals or more in total.

Bets: Total goals, over 2.5 at 17/20

Spurs 7/10 Draw 2.83/1 Wolves 4.57/1

Spurs missed an opportunity to close on the top 4 when they were beaten 3-2 at home by Southampton in midweek, a second consecutive league defeat ending an improved run of form.

Wolves also lost to North London opposition in midweek, 1-0 at home to Arsenal. They also lost an FA Cup tie at home to Norwich by the same scoreline and have been unable to recapture the form that saw them reel off 4 wins and 1 draw from mid December to mid January.

The Verdict:

Spurs were a similar price at home to the Saints this week and defeat in that game puts me off backing them at these odds even though Wolves look to have gone off the boil. At the odds quoted in the match result market I quite like the draw.

Bets: Match result draw at 2.83/1

Leicester 1.84/1 Draw 2.58/1 West Ham 1.48/1

Leicester have taken just 1 point from their last 3 and they also crashed out of the FA Cup. They badly need a boost to a season which is danger of petering out but that would involve turning form around with West Ham who beat them 4-1 in London early in the season.

West Ham need a win to consolidate fourth place as a number of chasing teams have games in hand. They have been a bit hit and miss of late but they have won

6 of 12 away from home throughout the season.

The Verdict:

I can't trust Leicester right now and I'll go with West Ham to edge it.

Bets: West Ham to win at 1.48/1
