Chelsea 0.87/1 Draw 26/10 Arsenal 3.24/1

After the disappointment of a Uefa Champions League exit at Real Madrid a week ago, Chelsea bounced back with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi finals at Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea had won 3-2 in Madrid but went out 5-4 on aggregate but they were solid in the cup on Sunday and they will meet Liverpool in the final at the end of the season, their only remaining chance for a trophy.

Chelsea had collapsed to a 4-1 defeat to Brentford in their most recent EPL home game but they still look most likely to finish third.

Arsenal went down 1-0 at Southampton last weekend, a third straight defeat and their fourth in the last 5 league outings. They are now 3 points behind Spurs in the race to finish fourth but they do have a game in hand whilst Manchester United, who visit Liverpool a day before this game takes place, are also in the mix.

The Gunners have scored just twice in their last 5 league games and they were beaten 3-0 at Palace in another recent London derby.

The Verdict:

You could argue that Arsenal have the greater incentive here but they have been really poor in recent weeks. The visitors still have claims to a top 4 finish but they still have Manchester United and Spurs to face and can ill afford another defeat.

This looks potentially trappy to me and I'm open minded about the result. As far as the total goals markets are concerned I'm on the fence between under and over 2.5 and will go with 2-3 in total.

Pulisic didn't get on the field in the cup semi final and could be worth a go to pop up anytime.

Bets: Total goals 2-3 at 9/10.

Anytime goalscorer Pulisic at 26/10

Newcastle 1.34/1 Draw 2.27/1 Crystal Palace 2.16/1

Newcastle have recovered from losing 3 straight matches in March and early April and are now looking for a third successive home win. They got themselves back on track with a 1-0 win over Wolves and followed up at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Leicester. With 37 points there is next to no chance they will be relegated now and they ought to be looking to push on towards a mid table finish.

Palace never really managed to lay a g love on Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday. They also have 37 points and whether they can immediately put the FA Cup exit behind them is key in terms of whether they can finish a decent league campaign strongly or whether it will drift to a tame conclusion.

The Verdict:

With 2 home wins behind them I can see Newcastle going in a again against a Palace side who might be licking their wounds.

Bets: Newcastle to win at 1.34/1
