Football ManCity120After a marathon battle the English Premier League title race will be decided on Sunday when Liverpool host Wolves and Manchester City take on Aston Villa.

The final day of the season and Manchester City are 1 point clear of Liverpool in the title race. City are also 6 better off in the goal difference department so barring a freak occurrence, Liverpool have to beat Wolves and hope that City don't beat Villa. City are 1 / 7 to be crowned champions and you can get at least 5/1 about Liverpool winning the title come Sunday and remember all Sunday's games kick off at the same time..

Liverpool 1 / 6 Draw 13/2 Wolves 16/1

After beating Chelsea on spot kicks in the FA Cup Final last weekend Liverpool made wholesale changes to their line up for Tuesday's visit to Southampton. They needed a win to take the title race to this final weekend and despite conceding first they fought back to come out on top 2-1.

Liverpool are now 18 with defeat in the EPL, they have won both the EFL and FA Cup and on Saturday 28th May they take on Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League. Their EPL home record is of the unbeaten variety with 14 wins and 4 draws.

Wolves season has drifted and they are 6 points behind seventh placed West Ham on the back of 4 defeats and 2 draws in their last 6 outings. In their most recent road trip they came back from 2-0 down with a couple of late goals to salvage a draw at Chelsea but since then they were thrashed 5-1 at home by Manchester City and were then held to a 1-1 draw when hosting already relegated Norwich.

Since Wolves were promoted for the the 2018/19 season they have lost all 7 league meetings against Liverpool, managing just the 1 goal in the process.

The Verdict:

There might still be a few selection dilemma’s for Klopp with the UCL final less than a week away from this match but it's still hard to make a case for anything bar a home win. It's not the best of betting heats in my book and I will take a small interest in Liverpool to win by exactly 2 goals.

Manchester City 1 / 6 Draw 7/1 Aston Villa 16/1

City had to come from 2-0 down at half time to take a point from a 2-2 draw at West Ham last time out. Prior to that De Bruyne scored 4 of their 5 goals at Wolves and they were 5-0 winners against Newcastle in their most recent home game. That represents and excellent response to their late collapse in the second leg of their UCL semi final away to Real Madrid. City are 11 league games without defeat (8 wins and 3 draws) and they have lost just 3 league games this season, twice to Spurs and they also lost at home to Palace.

Villa were in action at home to Burnley on Thursday, they played out a 1-1 draw and are fourteenth in the standings. They haven't beaten City since the 2013/14 season and whilst they have played some good stuff at times since Gerrard came in, they have been inconsistent.

The Verdict:

I fancy City will get the job done and I with a fair few goals as well. I wouldn't rule out Villa contributing to the scoring but my play is City to win a game of at least 4 goals in total.
