Goodforthegame Predictions:

Newcastle v Manchester City (Saturday 30th November)

Newcastle's 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Monday sees them remain on 15 points. The loss ended a run of 3 games without defeat which included victories at home to Bournemouth and away at West Ham plus a draw at home to Wolves. A 1-0 win over Manchester United is the stand out result at St. James Park this season.

City's 2-1 home win over Chelsea last week keeps them 9 points off the pace being set by Liverpool. They have won 4 and lost 2 of their road trips with the defeats coming at Liverpool and more surprisingly Norwich.

City came unstuck on this ground last season, losing 2-1.

Prediction: Newcastle 0-3 Man City

Chelsea v West Ham (Saturday 30th November)

Chelsea's defeat at Man City in Round 13 saw them slip to fourth in the standings, 11 points behind Liverpool. Prior to that loss Chelsea had reeled off 6 league wins in a row and they return to Stamford Bridge where their league record comprises of 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat.

West Ham are on a terrible run right now. It's 7 league games since their last win and 5 of the last 6 have ended in defeat including a 3-2 loss in another London derby at home to Spurs last week. Recent road trips delivered a 3-0 defeat at Burnley and 2-0 loss at Everton and West Ham have slipped to fourth from bottom in the standings.

Chelsea won the corresponding fixture last season by a 2-0 scoreline.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 West Ham

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Saturday 30th November)

Spurs have made a winning start under Jose Mourinho, beating West Ham 3-2 away from home last week and following up with a 4-2 home win over Olympiacos in the Champions League in midweek. They are no higher than mid table in the standings after an inconsistent first third of the campaign and their home record comprises of 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat.

Bournemouth are 1 point and 1 place below Spurs in the standings. They have won just 1 of their last 7 league outings, 1-0 at home to Manchester United and that run also includes a 1-0 defeat in North London at Arsenal.

Spurs thrashed Bournemouth 5-0 in the corresponding fixture last season.

Prediction: Spurs 3-1 Bournemouth

Norwich v Arsenal (Sunday 1st December)

Norwich were 2-0 winners at Everton last week to climb of the bottom of the log. Prior to that Norwich had taken just 1 point from the last 21 available. A shock victory over Manchester City (3-2) in mid September is their stand out result in front of their own supporters. They also beat Newcastle here early in the season but 4 other home games ended in defeat.

Arsenal have drawn 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 league games to slip out of the top 6. Their away form is the biggest concern and they failed to register a goal in losing their last 2 road trips at Leicester and Sheffield United.

Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Arsenal

Leicester v Everton (Sunday 1st December)

Leicester's dream run continued with a 2-0 win at Brighton last week and they finished the round clear in second place but still 8 points adrift of Liverpool. They have now won 7 of their last 8 and they are unbeaten at home this season with 1 draw and 5 wins.

Everton let favourite backers down when they were rolled 2-0 at home by Norwich last week and they finished the round just 4 points clear of the drop zone. A 2-1 win at Southampton in their most recent road trip is their only victory on the road so far, 1 other away fixture was drawn and 4 have ended in defeat.

Everton did win this fixture 2-1 last season although Leicester won the return 1-0 at Goodison Park.

Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Everton

Manchester United v Aston Villa (Sunday 1st December)

United's 3-3 draw at Sheffield United last week kept them in mid table and with serious ground to make up if they are to challenge for a top 4 finish. At home United have won 3, drawn 2 and the 1 defeat came against Crystal Palace.

Villa are 3 points behind United in the standings after Monday night's 2-0 home win over Newcastle. On their travels a 5-1 victory at Norwich is the only highlight with 5 other road trips having ended in defeat.

This will be the first league meeting since 2015/16 when United won both meetings by a 1-0 scoreline.

Prediction: Man United 1-1 Aston Villa
