facupOur featured FA Cup fifth round tie on Tuesday comes from the Riverside Stadium where Championship side Middlesbrough host Spurs

Let's start with an update on the outright betting to lift this trophy.

Man City 2/1

Chelsea 5/1

Liverpool 3.73/1

Spurs 7.2/1

Everton 10.15/1

West Ham 11.9/1

22/1 and upwards the rest

Middlesbrough

Chris Wilder has got Boro in good shape and they claimed a big scalp in the fourth round, knocking out Manchester United in a penalty shoot out at Old Trafford. That game finished all square at 1-1 and it was a pretty strong side that United fielded. In the third round Boro edged past minnows Mansfield with a 3-2 win away from home.

Boro are on the fringes of the Championship play off race and they have won 11 of 17 home games in the league and they have taken maximum points from each of the last 7 in front of their own supports.

Boro can be backed at around 80/1 to win the FA this season.

Spurs

Spurs travel for the first time in this cup run. They survived a scare with a 3-1 win at home to Morecombe in the third round and then beat Brighton by the same scoreline in Round 4.

Their last 3 league games have all been away from home. They completed a league double over Manchester City with a 3-2 victory, then lost 1-0 at Burnley before an early goal blitz helped destroy Leeds 4-0 at Elland Road at the weekend.

Spurs are seventh in the EPL standings, 5 points off a top 4 spot but along with Arsenal they have games in hand on the likes of West Ham and Manchester United. This competition is the only remaining chance of silverware for Spurs this season.

The Betting:

Boro are currently 34/10 to win the game with the draw at 2.72/1 and Spurs can be backed at 0.67

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 7/10 and it's 0.77/1 for both teams to score.

Harry Kane is 32/10 to score the first goal of the game and 9/10 to score any time

The Verdict:

Boro are a decent side and will be well up for this so Spurs are likely to face a much stiffer test than what Leeds offered up in the league game on Saturday.

With this being the last opportunity for a trophy I can see Spurs coming through but not without a fight and the odds on quotes are not for me. My play is for both sides to contribute to the scoring in a game of 3 goals or more.

Bet: Both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals? (yes) at 12/10
