Our featured English Premier League match taking place on Monday sees Manchester City start their season away to Wolves
Wolves lost a League Cup tie 1-0 at home to Stoke in midweek but they are better judged on a 2-0 win at Sheffield United in their opening league game a week ago. Goals from Jimenez and Saiss inside the first 6 minutes sealed the points early doors for Wolves who finished seventh last season and this time around they will not have to juggle their resources with a Europa League campaign.
At the time of writing Wolves had just sold Diego Jota to Liverpool for a reported £41m with defender Ki-Jana Hoever joining as part of the deal. The target this season will be a top 6 finish at the very least.
City were not in action in Round 1 and they start their season as favourites to win the title, trading at around 17/20. Nathan Ake at £40m is the key signing to date given City's defence wasn't always rock solid last season, particularly after lockdown when they exited the FA Cup and Champions League. Although City won the League Cup last season that was the only major trophy they landed and David Silva and Leroy Sane have moved on whilst Srgio Agueroa is expected to miss up to 2 months of the campaign through injury.
Recent Head to Head
Wolves were a real handful for City last season winning 2-0 in Manchester and 3-2 in the return.
In the match result betting Wolves are just over 5/1 to win the game with the draw at 7/2 and City are 11/20.
It's 8/10 for both teams to find the net and around 13/20 for a game of 3 goals or more in total.

Had Jota still been a Wolves player I would have been very tempted to call a surprise home win here or possibly a Wolves/Draw double chance. Wolves are sure to miss his creativity but given they might be more match ready than City I believe they can still contribute to the scoring with Jimenez the most likely source.
Both teams to score? (yes) at 8/10
Anytime goalscorer Raul Jimenez at 43/20
