Venue: Corales Golf Club, Dominican Republic.
Dates: Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th September 2020

Tournament Preview

Following the US Open victory that Bryson DeChambeau finally clinched last weekend, attention now turns back to the PGA Tour for the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship. The field in the Dominican Republic is an eclectic mix of PGA Tour stalwarts with Web.com Tour rookies and some of the most exciting talents within the game of golf. Although the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship is a relatively new event on tour, the winning alumni is impressive with Graeme McDowell and Nate Lashley two of the 4 players to have been crowned as winner of the event since its launch back in 2016.

Betting Preview

Outright Winner

The absence of some big names here in the Dominican Republic could be hugely helpful for some PGA Tour fringe players:-

Will Zalatoris – 12.00

Fresh off the back of a 6th placed finish at the US Open, young American Will Zalatoris should be full of confidence here at the Corales Golf Course and he could be one to watch.

Mackenzie Hughes – 14.00

Canadian Mackenzie Hughes is a consistent performer on the PGA Tour and with top 15 finishes from 3 of his last 4 starts, he could push into the winners circle this week.

Corey Connors – 14.00

Fellow Canadian Corey Connors is another man that is always in and around the fringe events and despite no form to speak of, he could go well in the Dominican Republic this week.

Emiliano Grillo – 25.00

Talented Argentine Emiliano Grillo has been in decent form on the PGA Tour all year and he could be well suited to familiar conditions here at Corales Golf Course.

Thomas Detry – 33.00

Belgian Thomas Detry has been ripping it up on the European Tour and he started well at the US Open so has some form to call upon this week.

1st Round Leader

Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first-round leader picks:-

Pat Perez  – 45.00

Experienced American Pat Perez is a quality performer on his day and with a top 10 in his last outing at the Safeway Open, he could get off to a flyer here this week.

Branden Grace – 50.00

South African Branden Grace endured a tough week at the US Open last time out, but he is a quality performer and should relish the trip in hard and fast conditions this weekend.

Luke List – 55.00

American Luke List has made a lot of cuts recently without making them pay and this could be the weekend he puts some real markers down from the off.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in the Dominican Republic, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-

Henrik Stenson – 2.75

Former Open Champion Henrik Stenson is one of the greats of the game and although he hasn’t been in great form of late, he should never be discarded.

Jhonattan Vegas – 4.00

Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas is a proven performer on the PGA Tour, and he could take some stopping if he gets momentum going from the off this weekend.

Graeme McDowell – 5.50

Former winner of this event Graeme McDowell is a man that is capable of turning up on any course and the Northern Irishman could be refreshed and ready in the Dominican Republic this week.
