Tournament Preview

The 11th edition of the RSM Classic gets underway in Georgia with a strong field assembled once more in 2020. The event is played across three courses; the Sea Island Golf Club, the Seaside course and the Plantation course – ensuring that the players face a multitude of challenges across the weekend. PGA stalwarts Kevin Kisner, Ben Crane and Charles Howell III are just some of the winning alumni at the event that holds a rather handsome prize purse of $6.6 million in 2020 – with over $1.1 million on offer for the winner.

Betting Preview

Outright Winner

Plenty of PGA Tour regulars make up the field in Georgia this week with precious ranking points and prize money on offer:-

Webb Simpson – 8.50

Two-time major winner Webb Simpson has been in fantastic form in 2020 and following his strong showing at the Masters last weekend, he should arrive full of confidence.

Tyrrell Hatton – 18.00

Englishman Tyrell Hatton has been impressive on the PGA Tour so far this year and he will fancy his chances in a field as open as this in Georgia.

Sungjae Im – 20.00

With a second place finish at the Masters last week to dine out on for the rest of his career, young Korean Sunjae Im looks to have a very bright future and could go all the way this weekend.

Harris English – 25.00

American Harris English will be hoping to build on his strong showing on the PGA Tour this season and he will fancy his chances on a course well suited to his playing style.

Kevin Kisner – 40.00

Kevin Kisner won this event in 2016 and he will be looking to emulate that success here in 2020. The American hasn’t enjoyed his best season on the PGA Tour but is always in the mix in the big events.

1st Round Leader

Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first round leader picks:-

Jason Day – 35.00

Australian Jason Day has been demonstrating his best form on the PGA Tour in recent weeks and his strong finish at Augusta last time out could allow him to get off to quick start this week.

Dylan Frittelli – 40.00

South African Dylan Frittelli enjoyed a quite incredible week at the Masters last week and should be full of confidence in familiar conditions here in Georgia.

Andy Sullivan – 55.00

Englishman Andy Sullivan has been in stellar form on the European Tour and if he can transform his incredible nick to the PGA Tour, he could be one to watch from the outset this week.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in Georgia, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-

Justin Rose – 3.00

Former world number one Justin Rose has been searching for his best form all season but he played great golf at Augusta last week and enjoys Georgian autumnal conditions.

Brendon Todd – 5.50

Brendon Todd enjoyed an incredible end to the season in 2019 and he will be hoping for a similar performance in favourable surroundings in Georgia this week.

Alex Noren – 10.00

Swede Alex Noren hasn’t enjoyed his best season on the European Tour and he will be hoping to find some form on the PGA Tour this season and the course in Georgia should be a good fit for him.
