The four-year old faces another major test today but is still the one to beat with his low mass

The lightly raced three-year old BONGO DANCE proved that he is above-average when registering a smart performance in a feature contest over this distance in PE three weeks ago. The bay colt was returning from a 10 week absence on that occasion so will strip fitter today and he clearly has plenty more to offer. He has a strong finish but he will be severely tested from his poor draw. However, the main concern is how much the travelling has taken out of the Oracy colt.

PONT DU GARD proved ineffective from an unfavourable draw in a strong field over five furlongs recent- ly but he is much better treated on today's handicap terms and can quickly bounce back to form. The Dupont gelding stayed on for 4th at a slightly higher level over this c & d in his penultimate showing and he has just half a length to find on the form entrant PIGEON FLYER (0.5kg worse off) on that performance.
