Race 4: QUEEN MOIRA(4)
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Candice BASS-ROBINSON

The grey filly QUEEN MOIRA put her best foot forward when equipped with blinkers over this c & d four weeks ago. She was outrun late into 2nd after adopting frontrunning tactics and was in turn nearly four lengths clear of the next placed entrant Pumpkin Queen.

Race 5: NEW CALEDONIA(6)
Jockey: Grant V/NIEKERK - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

Just eight runners head to post for this competitive mile handicap but with a few natural pacesetters in the line-up, a decent tempo and a true result is expected. The top selection NEW CALEDONIA had legitimate excuses for his one flop over this distance but he has come extremely well since and could be a major force on his peak showing. He made late progress for a creditable 3rd after being slow into stride over seven furlongs in a strong field four weeks ago. Unfortunately, that earned him a three-pound penalty but the five-year old still has plenty more to offer.

Race 6: CUBAN EMERALD(5)
Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Glen KOTZEN

CUBAN EMERALD has shown encouraging signs after returning to his home province and he took off late for 2nd in a strong field under a big mass over five furlongs two weeks ago. Admittedly, he meets much stronger now and was raised two pounds for his exertions but the Snaith inmate is undoubtedly better over this extra furlong. He can raise his game and go one better despite the unfavourable draw.

Race 8: FLASH TWICE(9)
Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER - Trainer: Vaughan MARSHALL

This final event seems straight forward for the improving Vaughan Marshall trained bay colt FLASH TWICE who has all the right credentials, including jumping from pole position. The son of Twice Over has progressed smartly with each outing to date and he was pipped over this c & d against winners three weeks ago. He was in turn just over two lengths clear of other victors and now has his peak showing on seasonal debut.

Race 2: BENDY BULLET(5)
Jockey: Corne ORFFER - Trainer: Brett CRAWFORD

Once again there are some first timers worth keeping tabs on, in particular, LOVE SUPREME and COURTISAN from the Brett Crawford and Glen Kotzen stable's, respectively. The former is a three-year old daughter of Silvano out of the top class multiple Grade 1 winning mare Thunder Dance.
