EARL OF WARWICK had little go his way but still produced an excellent last c & d effort a fortnight ago and the well-bred Silvano colt can go one better. PSYCHIC confirmed the promise of his penultimate start when he finished well for a close 3rd over this track & trip last month. The lightly raced four- year old was just a neck adrift of the top selection that day and he also has scope for further progress.

Race 4: DANCE A JIG(6)

Jockey: R Fourie - Trainer: Glen KOTZEN

The three-year olds have a stiff task over this marathon trip but DANCE A JIG could still fly their flag high. The inmate from the Ramsden yard seemed to find ten furlongs too short for him last time but he stayed on smartly for a close 3rd over a mile and a half prior to that and of course the runner up, his stablemate William The Brave boosted that formline with two subsequent wins.

Race 7: ELEGANCIA(7)

Jockey:  Richard FOURIE - Trainer: A MARCUS

This is a very tricky affair where caution should be exercised. ELEGANCIA has reached a competitive merit and though she was soundly beaten into 2nd over ten furlongs recently, she was in turn 2.50 lengths ahead of the next placed entrant. The four-year old Toreador filly is well-handicapped in this contest and blinkers could be a real aid over this shorter trip.

SHARP PEG should have finished much closer but for traffic issues over this c & d recently and she can make amends. The 3rd placed runner Lily Theresa boosted that form with an easy subsequent win and this chestnut mare will be retained by Fourie.
