The mile should be right up his alley and he jumps from a better draw this time around.

HOLIDAY ROMANCE is progressing steadily and she went close in a competitive line-up over shorter on this track recently. She was just a neck adrift of the runner-up TIGERLACE and the daughter of Dynasty will prefer the step-up to the mile. She is drawn well once again and should continue to progress. The latter has an affinity for this tight circuit but will need to prove herself over the mile. That said, she also has scope for improvement and has her peak showing

The classy mare BELLA SONATA had a great last campaign with two placings at the highest level before she failed over ten furlongs last time out. The daughter of Silvano is much better up to a mile and of course she went down narrowly after a strong finish in this contest a year ago. She has half a length to find with SHE'S A GIVER on their clash at Greyville in a Grade 1 on 'July Day' but is 0.5kg to the good.

Just nine entrants head to post for this Grade 2 contest which features some high quality sorts and the lack of a natural pacesetter makes things extremely interesting. The entire' NEW PREDATOR gets his regular pilot in the saddle and his top jockey will have no fear in assuming control of the race. The imported son of New Approach has the right credentials having enjoyed a solid last season that culminated in a 3rd placed finish in a Grade 1 sprint at Greyville in July.
