The speedy MOGGIE BROWN possibly took on too much too soon when she weakened in a feature over this c & d recently but she drops considerably in class tonight. She had a facile maiden victory over JAZAALAH prior to that and the lightly raced daughter of Sail From Seattle still has much more to offer. She will be cherry-ripe tonight and top jockey Lerena takes the ride. The latter was having her debut when she endured the wrath of the first selection but she improved from that experience and duly shed her maiden certificate next time out. The well-bred brown filly also has good scope for progress but races under the lights for the first time.

The four-year old TORRE DEL ORO expectedly enjoyed the blistering pace as he finished powerfully to beat a decent line-up at the Vaal three weeks ago. He seems to have escaped with just a three pound penalty and the son of Trippi has lively claims of following up. The Tarry inmate holds a decent c & d record.

The long-time maiden SOLDAT is way better than his recent form indicates and dropping to this suitable trip could see him return to best. He was caught late over a mile in his last effort on this track and can go one better today.
